The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
northeastern Robertson County in middle Tennessee...
north central Sumner County in middle Tennessee...

* until 400 PM CDT

* at 321 PM CDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess
of 60 mph. The storm was 9 miles north of Springfield...moving east
at 25 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
Cross Plains...Portland...Orlinda and Mitchellville...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Very heavy rain will also occur with this severe thunderstorm...which
could flood low lying areas quickly and cover roads with water. Do
not drive into areas where water covers the Road.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this severe
thunderstorm. Move indoors immediately! Remember...if you can hear
thunder...you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
