Statement as of 5:57 PM CDT on July 10, 2013
The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued an
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northern Davidson County in middle Tennessee...
southern Robertson County in middle Tennessee...
southern Sumner County in middle Tennessee...
western Wilson County in middle Tennessee...
this includes the city of Lebanon...
* until 900 PM CDT
* at 553 PM CDT...Doppler radar indicated heavy thunderstorms
training over the same areas...producing 1 to 2 inch per hour
rainfall rates. Locations from Joelton...to Nashville Metro...to
Hendersonville and Lebanon...and surrounding communities can expect
heavy rainfall to continue...with an additional inch of rain
possible by 7pm CDT.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams...and ponding of water in urban
areas...highways...streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage areas and low lying spots.
To report flooding...have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.
