Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies near the southwest Kimberley coast and the Pilbara coast,
moving to the central Pilbara as a ridge builds over central WA on Saturday and
gusty south to southeasterly winds develop over western parts of the Pilbara.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front has moved over the southwest of the State. A second weak to
moderate cold front on Friday morning will bring cold conditions to southern
WA. A ridge develops over southern parts during Saturday and will continue
through to Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 31 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay. Chance of a shower
or thunderstorm over the southern South Interior, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 1 September
Showers across the South West Land Division and southwest Gascoyne with
thunderstorms possible over southern coastal districts. Showers and
thunderstorms possible over the Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, easing
during the afternoon.
Cold southerly winds developing during the day with some small hail possible in
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Snow flurries possible over the
Stirling Ranges Friday night.

Forecast for Saturday 2 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and western Eucla
coast with small hail and thunderstorms possible east of Esperance in the
morning. Showers near the west coast south of Shark Bay in the morning.
Thunderstorms and showers possible over far southeast Interior in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 3 September
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast. Showers near the west coast south
of Jurien Bay, reaching inland parts southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany
for a period during the day.

Forecast for Monday 4 September
Showers about the SW Capes, over southern coastal districts and over the Eucla,
possibly reaching far southern parts of the Great Southern in the morning.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
