Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough will lie near the southwest Kimberley coast and the Pilbara
coast for the next few days. Warm for this time of year through the Pilbara.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough lies near the west coast with a broad area of thunderstorm
activity that will move east with the trough during this evening and Wednesday.
A cold front will move over the south west early Thursday morning. A second
cold front on Friday morning will bring cold conditions to southern WA.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 29 August
Showers and thunderstorms through mainly northern and eastern parts the South
West Land Division, the Gascoyne and Goldfields, extending into the Eucla and
southern Interior this evening. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the
Central West and Central Wheat Belt. Showers in the remainder of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 30 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, tending to areas of rain or
drizzle for a period in the morning in southeastern parts. Showers and
thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, South East Coastal district, South
Interior and Eucla, clearing from the west during the day. Showers developing
through the central Interior in the afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 31 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay. Showers and
thunderstorms possible over the north Goldfields and Southern Interior.

Forecast for Friday 1 September
Showers across the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne, Goldfields and
Eucla with thunderstorms possible in the southeast of the State and near the
south and lower west coasts. Cold southerly winds developing during the day
with some small hail possible in southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 2 September
Showers about western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and
Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms in the Southern Interior clearing. Possible
small hail about eastern south coastal parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
