Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough will linger near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts for the next
few days. Warm for this time of year.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure south of the State. A surface trough is developing
through the inland Gascoyne and will deepen near the west coast on Sunday,
Monday, and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 25 August
Showers about the South Coastal district. Areas of rain and possible
thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, far eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, South Interior and Eucla, slowly contracting
eastwards.
Forecast for Saturday 26 August
Showers about the south coast of the South West Land Division, extending into
the Great Southern, southern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, inland South
West, inland South East Coastal and the southern Goldfields for a period during
the day. Morning showers in the South Interior. Warm across the northern half
of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 27 August
Morning showers near the western south coast. Showers and the chance of
thunderstorms developing during the day about the Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, Central West, Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern. Warm across
the northern half of the State.
Forecast for Monday 28 August
Showers about the Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and northern parts of
the South West Land Division. Showers clearing the Great Southern, inland South
East Coastal, and Eucla during the day. Warm across the northern half of the
State.
Forecast for Tuesday 29 August
Showers and thunderstorms through most parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior, and western Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
