Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough will lie near the southwest Kimberley coast and the Pilbara
coast until a trough develops through the central Pilbara on Friday. Southerly
winds increasing across the Pilbara on Saturday as a ridge builds across
central WA.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies across the South East Coastal, inland Eucla and Interior and is
moving east. A cold front will move over the south west Thursday morning. A
second cold front on Friday morning will bring cold conditions to southern WA.
A ridge develops over southern parts during Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 30 August
Chance of a shower near the lower west coast and central and western south
coast, extending into the eastern Great Southern and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 31 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, increasing with the
cold front. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the southern South Interior
and adjacent parts in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Friday 1 September
Showers across the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne, Goldfields and
Eucla with thunderstorms possible in the southeast of the State and near the
south and lower west coasts. Cold southerly winds developing during the day
with some small hail possible in southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 2 September
Showers in southern parts of the South West Land Division, coastal Eucla and
near the west coast south of Carnarvon. Small hail and thunderstorms near the
western south coast in the morning, moving east during the day. Isolated
thunderstorms and showers in the Eucla and southern South Interior in the
morning.

Forecast for Sunday 3 September
Showers near the south coast and west coast south of Geraldton, extending
inland into southwestern parts of the South West Land Division for a period
during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
