Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from near the Pilbara coast to inland parts of the
Kimberley. The broad trough will move inland on Friday and remain there over
the weekend.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne down the west coast and will deepen
during Thursday and begin to move inland from the west coast. The trough will
move further inland on Friday, as a weak cold front moves over the southwest of
the state on Friday ahead of a stronger system expected to move over the
Southwest Land Division on Saturday, with a westerly flow persisting on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 27 August
Showers and thunderstorms possible over northeastern parts of the South West
Land Division, the southeast Gascoyne, adjacent Goldfields, the northeast
Interior and the eastern Kimberley. Mainly light falls.
Forecast for Friday 28 August
Showers and thunderstorms possible over central and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and the northern
and eastern Kimberley, with mainly light falls. Showers and possible
thunderstorms developing southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany during
the morning, extending to southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Bremer Bay
during the afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday 29 August
Showers southwest of a line Denham to Albany, extending to southwest of a line
Carnarvon to Esperance during the afternoon. Thunderstorms possible southwest
of a line from Kalbarri to Bremer Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the
northeast Kimberley, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and far east of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 30 August
Showers through the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne and
southwestern parts of the Goldfields. Thunderstorms possible southwest of a
line from Perth to Bremer Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the south and
east Interior, Eucla, Goldfields and far east of the South West Land Division,
gradually contracting east.
