Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies across inland parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley. The
trough will move east from Sunday as a ridge of high pressure builds across
central WA.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough stretching from the inland Gascoyne through central parts of
the South West Land Division will deepen during Friday and continue to move
east into central parts of the State, as a weak cold front moves over the
southwest. The trough moves into the southeast of the State over the weekend
with a stronger cold front moving across the Southwest Land Division during
Saturday. Another cold front will affect southwestern parts of the State on
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 28 August
Showers and thunderstorms possible over eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, the southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and the eastern
Kimberley, with mainly light falls. Showers and possible thunderstorms
developing southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Dalwallinu to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 29 August
Showers southwest of a line Denham to Albany, extending to southwest of a line
Carnarvon to Esperance during the afternoon. Thunderstorms and moderate falls
possible southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Bremer Bay. Showers and
thunderstorms possible over the Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and far east of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 30 August
Showers through the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne and
the southern Goldfields, mostly clearing inland parts during the afternoon or
evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Interior and Eucla,
gradually contracting east.

Forecast for Monday 31 August
Showers developing across the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.
Thunderstorms and small hail possible in the south.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
