Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies across inland parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley. The
trough will move east during Monday and Tuesday. A new trough will develop
about the western parts of the Pilbara and the coastal parts of the Kimberley
on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will affect southwestern parts of the State on Monday, moving east
along the south coast on Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure develops near the
south coast in the wake of the front. On Wednesday and Thursday a high pressure
system will move south of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 31 August
Showers extending from the west across the South West Land Division and
southern Goldfields. Thunderstorms and small hail possible in the south.
Moderate falls possible in the south. Isolated showers in the eastern
Kimberley. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the remaining Goldfields,
Eucla and Southern Interior. Isolated afternoon showers in the southeast
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 September
A light dusting of snow possible about Bluff Knoll during the early morning.
Showers near the west coast during the early morning. Showers over southern
parts of the State, with thunderstorms possible near the Eucla and the South
East Coastal districts, clearing eastwards during the day. Isolated afternoon
showers in the eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 September
Showers about the south coast, extending inland to the southern Goldfields for
a period during the day.

Forecast for Thursday 3 September
Showers about the south coast east of Hopetoun, contracting to the Eucla coast
during the afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
