Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Monday 2 April 2018.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will remain mostly
stationary over the coming days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State and a surface trough is
beginning to develop inland from the west coast. The trough will deepen during
Friday and then move eastwards on Saturday as a new ridge of high pressure
develops over the southwest of the State. The ridge will become established
south of the State on Sunday before a high pressure system forms in the Bight
on Monday as a new surface trough develops near the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, western
Pilbara and central and northwestern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, northeast
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western Goldfields and northern and central parts of
the South West Land Division, mostly in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields, clearing from western parts of the South West Land Division during
the morning. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern and western Interior, the remainder of the Goldfields and
the western Eucla. Showers developing near the western south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, inland Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Early thunderstorms possible over the
Eucla and adjacent parts. Showers along the southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Monday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley coast, inland west Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfield and northern and central parts of the South
West Land Divisions.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
