Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will remain mostly
stationary over the coming days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State and a surface trough lies near
the west coast. The trough will deepen and then move east during Saturday as a
new ridge of high pressure develops over the southwest of the State. The ridge
will become established south of the State on Sunday before a high pressure
system forms in the Bight on Monday and a new surface trough develops near the
west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, north and east
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and all but southwestern parts of the South West
Land Division, mostly in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern South West Land
Division, Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern and western Interior,
and the western Eucla. Showers developing near the western south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields, and Interior. Early thunderstorms possible
over the Eucla. Showers along the south coast and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Monday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley coast, inland Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, western Interior, Goldfields and northern inland parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, southwest Interior,
Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
