Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies from the Kimberley to the coastal Pilbara and will move offshore
from the Pilbara coast for periods during the morning for the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the state. A surface
trough will develop inland from the west coast during Friday and contract
eastwards on Saturday as a new ridge of high pressure develops south of the
state.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 27 March
Light showers over northern parts of the South West Land Division and northern
Goldfields, clearing this evening. Showers about southern coastal parts of the
South West Land Division, contracting to southern coastal parts of the
Southwest district this evening. Showers and thunderstorms about the north and
west Kimberley, southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and adjacent Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 March
Light showers about the south coast west of Albany. Showers and thunderstorms
over the south Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and adjacent Interior, extending to
the remaining inland Pilbara, western Interior and north and east Kimberley in
the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Thursday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far northern Interior, western
inland Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and adjacent Interior, extending to the
southern Gascoyne and adjacent northern parts of the South West Land Division
in the afternoon. Showers near the south coast, west of Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Friday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent northern Interior, north
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, western Interior and northeast of the Central
Wheat Belt, extending throughout the Gascoyne and South West Land Division away
from the west coast in the afternoon. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms in
the Pilbara. Morning coastal showers about the Southeast coastal district.

Forecast for Saturday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, southern Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields, central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting in southern parts to eastern parts of the South West Land Division
during the day. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms throughout the inland
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and west Eucla. Showers about the South coastal
district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
