Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A rain band across the central Pilbara will start to weaken on Friday. A high
pressure system will develop over the south of the state on the weekend,
producing an easterly flow over northern parts.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast. A high pressure system will
develop over the south of the state on the weekend. A cold front will approach
the southwest corner of the state late on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 29 May
Rain or showers and thunderstorms through the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields and Interior. Showers possible near southern coastal parts.

Forecast for Saturday 30 May
Showers and thunderstorms through the southeast Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, far
northern Goldfields and Interior. Showers possible near southern coastal parts.

Forecast for Sunday 31 May
Showers and thunderstorms through the central Interior and over the northeast
Kimberley. Showers possible near southern coastal parts.

Forecast for Monday 1 June
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers developing near
the Southwest Capes, extending to areas southwest of a line from Perth to
Albany in the evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
