Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad heat trough lies over the inland Kimberley and across the Pilbara. The
trough will contract eastwards during Thursday, but extend westwards during
Friday and Saturday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast. A trough will deepen inland
from the west coast today before contacting eastwards late Wednesday and
Thursday ahead of a weak cold front which will brush the southwest of the State
late Thursday. A new ridge of high pressure will develop in the wake of the
front on Friday with a high pressure system moving into the Bight on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 29 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, the far eastern
Pilbara, south and western Interior, Goldfields, Eucla, southern and western
Gascoyne and all but western coastal parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers or drizzle possible about the western south coast and western coastal
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 30 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla, far eastern Gascoyne, and eastern South West Land Division,
contracting eastwards during the day. Showers developing about the southwest
parts of the State during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Friday 31 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Interior and eastern
Eucla contracting eastwards during the day . Showers and drizzle over southern
parts of the South West Land Division clearing during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 1 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern Interior.
Isolated late showers developing about the SW Capes.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
