Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Variable winds with coastal sea breezes as a weak ridge of high pressure lies
over central parts of the State. A cold front will move over southern parts of
the State during this evening, before a new ridge develops through central
parts on Thursday. The ridge will slowly move south on Friday before
strengthening on Saturday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will move through southern parts of the State during this
evening. A new ridge of high pressure will develop over the South West Land
Division during Thursday with a low moving along the south coast to the Bight
during the day. The ridge will extend through southern parts of the State on
Friday ahead of a weak front which will affect the far southwest during the
afternoon and evening. The front will continue along the south coast during
Saturday morning. A second weak cold front will reach the southwest of the
state Sunday evening.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 July
Showers throughout western parts of the South West Land Division, extending
through the western and southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and western Eucla during
the evening. Thunderstorms possible southwest of a line from Lancelin to
Esperance with damaging winds possible over the Lower West, Southwest, South
Coastal and the adjacent Great Southern districts, contracting to the Lower
West and adjacent Central West this evening. Moderate falls in the southwest
grading to light falls in northern and eastern parts.
Forecast for Thursday 26 July
Showers through the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, western Pilbara,
Goldfields, southern Interior and the Eucla, clearing inland parts during the
day.
Forecast for Friday 27 July
Showers extending throughout the South West Land Division during the day,
reaching the southwest Gascoyne and adjacent Goldfields during the day. Showers
increasing over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division and the
South Coastal district during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Saturday 28 July
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and the
Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 29 July
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay, increasing about
southwestern parts in the evening.
