Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central and southern parts of the State
and will move slowly east over the next few days. A trough will move east
through the Pilbara and north Interior on Wednesday and Thursday morning ahead
of a strong cold front that will affect southwestern parts of the Pilbara later
on Wednesday. A new ridge will develop through central parts of the State by
Thursday afternoon.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing over central and southern parts. A strong cold front and
associated trough will move over the south of the State during Wednesday and
Thursday morning before a new ridge develops through central parts of the State
by Thursday afternoon. A second cold front will move over the South West Land
Division on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 July
Light showers about the Central West and along southern coastal parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 July
Showers near the south coast. Showers developing in areas southwest of a line
from Bunbury to Walpole during the morning, extending to southwest of Jurien
Bay to Narrogin to Walpole in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 August
A strong cold front moving through the South West Land Division during the day
and reaching the Gascoyne and Goldfields during the evening. Showers increasing
from the west during the day, with a chance of thunderstorms, gusty winds and
moderate to heavy falls with the passage of the front, particularly over
southern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Small hail possible
in the cold air in the wake of the front. Possible snow falls over the
Stirlings and elevated areas in the south.

Forecast for Thursday 2 August
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
southeastern Goldfields, Eucla and the South Interior, contracting to coastal
and adjacent parts during the evening. A chance of gusty thunderstorms near the
south coast. Small hail possible over the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, southern Gascoyne and the Eucla, with possible snow falls over the
Stirlings and elevated areas in the south.

Forecast for Friday 3 August
Showers throughout most of the South West Land Division, extending into the
southwest Goldfields and western Eucla by evening. Possible thunderstorms about
southern coastal parts, with some moderate falls.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
