Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central parts of the State. The ridge
will strengthen over the weekend before contracting towards eastern Australia
on Monday. A broad area of low pressure will develop along the Kimberley and
Pilbara coasts from early next week.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central parts of the State ahead of a
weak cold front which will affect the southwest during Friday evening. The
front will continue along the south coast during Saturday morning, with a
developing ridge in its wake bringing clear conditions to the remainder of
southern parts. Another weak cold front will brush the southwest of the State
during Sunday afternoon and evening, dissipating over southern parts during
Monday. A ridge will remain over central parts of the State during Tuesday,
ahead of the next significant front expected in the middle of next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 27 July
Areas of drizzly showers persisting in the northern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, as well as the southern Gascoyne and western
Goldfields. Light showers increasing over the remaining southwestern parts of
the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 28 July
Showers along the southern and Eucla coasts, easing along the southwest coast
from early afternoon. Light early morning showers through the Lower West and
adjacent Central West, Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern, clearing to a
partly cloudy day.

Forecast for Sunday 29 July
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay, extending through areas
southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Hopetoun during the afternoon. Showers
increasing about southwestern parts in the evening. Mostly sunny conditions in
the remainder of the State.

Forecast for Monday 30 July
Light showers through most of the South West Land Division, clearing in the
Lower West, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt from late morning. Showers
persisting along the south coast throughout the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 July
Light morning shower activity along the southwest coast. Showers developing in
areas southwest of a line from Mandurah to Walpole during the afternoon,
extending as far north as Perth by late evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
