Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central parts of the State and will move
slowly east over the next few days. A strong cold front will affect
northwestern waters on Wednesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the southwest of the State during Sunday afternoon
and evening, with a ridge remaining over central parts of the State through to
Tuesday. A strong cold front will move over the southwest of the State during
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 28 July
Showers near the south coast east of Esperance and along the Eucla coast.
Showers possible about the SW Capes in the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 29 July
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay, extending through areas
southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Lake Grace to Esperance by evening.
Showers increasing over the Southwest district, the Lower West, western Great
Southern and South Coastal district during the late afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 30 July
Light showers through most of the South West Land Division in the early
morning, contracting to the south coast and west coast by sunrise and clearing
western coastal parts during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 July
Light morning showers near the south coast. Showers developing in areas
southwest of a line from Lancelin to Walpole during the late afternoon and
evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 August
A strong cold front moving through the South West Land Division during the day
and reaching the southwest Gascoyne and southwestern Goldfields by evening.
Showers increasing from the west during the day, with thunderstorms, gusty
winds and moderate to heavy falls with the passage of the front, particularly
over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Small hail
possible in the cold air in the wake of the front. Possible snow falls over the
Stirlings and elevated areas in the south.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
