Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies across central WA.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will reach the southwest corner of the State later on
Thursday and move across southern WA during Friday morning. Another cold front
will affect the southwest corner of the State later on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 July
Showers possible over the Central West, Lower West, and along the south coast
between Hopetoun and Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Thursday 27 July
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany, extending to southwest
of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening.
Damaging winds developing about the SW Capes in the early afternoon, before
extending through areas southwest of a line from Mandurah to Wagin to Bremer
Bay during the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms possible near the western
south coast in the evening.
Forecast for Friday 28 July
Windy across the southern half of the State. Showers over the South West Land
Division, extending to the southwestern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and
western Eucla during the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds possible near
the south coast in the early morning. Thunderstorms and small hail possible
southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay during the late afternoon and
evening.
Forecast for Saturday 29 July
Showers and possible thunderstorms southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Lake Grace
to Israelite Bay, with possible small hail during the early morning. Morning
showers possible over the remainder of the South West Land Division, the
southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 30 July
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany, with thunderstorms
possible in the morning. Morning showers and thunderstorms possible along the
remainder of the south coast. Showers possible over the remainder of the South
West Land Division, the Goldfields and the Eucla, clearing by the evening.
