Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will persist over central parts of the State for the
coming week. Southeasterly surges are expected across northern parts in the
mornings, with the strongest surges likely on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front is moving across southern parts of the State this evening,
with a cold southerly change behind the front. A weak ridge of high pressure
with develop over the southern half on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of another
cold front expected to move over the southwest of the State during Thursday. A
new high pressure ridge develops over southern parts of the State during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 31 July
Showers and possible thunderstorms and gusty winds across the South West Land
Division, extending into the southern Gascoyne and southern Goldfields in the
evening. Cold with small hail possible across the southern half of the South
West Land Division. Possible snow flurries about the Stirling Ranges later
tonight.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 August
Showers over southern districts of the South West Land Division, and across the
Eucla and southern and eastern Goldfields. Cold and windy near the southern and
Eucla coasts with the risk of gusty thunderstorms and small hail, contracting
eastwards during the day. Morning showers possible along the west coast south
of Kalbarri. Possible snow flurries about the Stirling Ranges in the early
morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 August
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts, extending along the west coast
south of Perth during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Thursday 3 August
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany extending eastwards during the
day to southwest of a line Geraldton to Israelite Bay by the evening. Possible
thunderstorms and small hail about southern coastal parts in the afternoon and
evening.

Forecast for Friday 4 August
Showers along the southern and Eucla coasts, with thunderstorms and small hail
possible in the morning. Showers along the west coast south of Shark Bay,
contracting to south of Jurien Bay in the afternoon. Early showers over the
remainder of the South West Land Division, the southern Gascoyne, and the
western and southern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
