Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies across central WA with a weak trough lying
near the Kimberley coast and Pilbara coasts. The ridge will strengthen over the
weekend with fresh southeasterly winds developing from the west during Saturday
and Sunday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold is moving across the south of the State. Another cold front will
affect the southwest corner of the State later on Saturday before a high
pressure system moves over southern parts of the State on Sunday. Another
strong cold front will affect the southwest of the State on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 28 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla during the afternoon and evening and contracting
to near western and southern coastal parts of the Southwest Land Division, the
eastern Goldfields and the Eucla in the late evening. Thunderstorms and small
hail possible southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay during the late
afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 29 July
Showers over the eastern Goldfields, the southern Interior and the Eucla,
contracting to the eastern Eucla by mid morning. Showers about western and
southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division with possible
thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Light showers reaching the inland
Central West, western Central Wheat Belt and western Great Southern for a
period in the afternoon.

Forecast for Sunday 30 July
Cold and showery over the eastern Goldfields, southeast Coastal district, the
southern Interior and the Eucla with light falls. Possible morning showers and
thunderstorms about coastal parts between Jurien Bay and Bremer Bay. Showers
redeveloping late evening near the southwest Capes.

Forecast for Monday 31 July
A strong cold front bringing a period of showers, gusty winds and possible
thunderstorms to the South West Land Division during the day, reaching the
southern Gascoyne and western Goldfields in the evening. Small hail possible
over western and southern parts. Cold with possible snow flurries about the
Stirling Ranges.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 August
Showers over southern districts of the South West Land Division and west
coastal parts south of Jurien Bay, the Eucla and eastern Goldfields. Cold and
windy near the south coast with the risk of thunderstorms and small hail,
contracting east during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
