Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the North Interior, inland Kimberley, and into the
Pilbara.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the south of the State during Monday evening. On
Tuesday another cold front will move through the South West Land Division
during the day. A high pressure system will move slowly over the south of the
State during Wednesday and Thursday with a further cold front expected to cross
the southwest Capes during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 26 September
Showers extending through areas southwest of a line Lancelin to Hopetoun and
along the coast to Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 27 September
Showers southwest of a of line Geraldton to Hopetoun, extending east to be
south of a line Kalbarri to Kalgoorlie to Eyre by the evening. Thunderstorms
and small hail possible over southern parts. Chance of a shower about the
eastern Pilbara and North Interior. Afternoon shower in the north Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 28 September
Showers possible near the southern coast and Eucla and clearing the southern
Goldfields in the morning.. Chance of a shower about the eastern Pilbara,
southwest Kimberley, and North Interior. Afternoon showers possible over the
north Kimberley and showers developing over the western Pilbara towards evening.
Forecast for Thursday 29 September
Widespread areas of morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and the southwest Goldfields. Showers about the southwest Capes.
Possible morning shower near the Eucla coast. Afternoon shower in the north
Kimberley.
Forecast for Friday 30 September
Showers extending from the southwest Capes in the morning to lie southwest of a
line Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Esperance by evening. Light to moderate
falls expected with thunderstorms possible over southern districts. Showers
over the Pilbara and northern Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
