Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Wednesday 28 September 2016.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the Kimberley and the Pilbara and will extend into the
Interior during Sunday as a ridge of high pressure develops to the west.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is approaching from the west and is expected to reach the south
west Capes late this evening, before moving eastwards through the South West
Land Division on Sunday. A high pressure ridge will develop over central parts
of the State in the wake of the front on Monday, with another cold front
expected to reach the southwest capes Monday afternoon. On Tuesday another cold
front will move through the South West Land Division during the day.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 24 September
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany, tending to rain near the
SW Capes later in the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 25 September
Showers extending through areas southwest of a line from Carnarvon to
Kalgoorlie to Israelite Bay during the day, tending to rain areas near the west
coast with possible thunderstorms. Showers easing from the southwest during the
day and mostly clearing in the evening. Areas of morning frost over
northeastern parts of the South West Land Division and the southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 26 September
Widespread areas of morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and the southwest Goldfields. Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay
to Hopetoun and along the coast to Israelite Bay, increasing about western
southern coastal parts in the afternoon.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 September
Showers southwest of a of line Geraldton to Hopetoun, extending eastwards to be
south of a line Kalbarri to Kalgoorlie to Eyre by the evening. Thunderstorms
possible over southern parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 September
Showers possible near the southern and Eucla coasts. Early showers possible
near the west coast south of Shark Bay and over the southern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
