Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge is developing over the south of the State. A
trough develops over the western Pilbara on Friday, before moving eastwards
over the weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over the south of the State. A couple of cold
fronts move over southwestern parts on Friday, with a trough rapidly deepening
through central parts of the State before moving eastwards. A stronger cold
front moves through southern parts on Saturday. A high pressure ridge will
gradually develop over central parts of the State on Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 September
Showers about the southwest Capes. Showers and thunderstorms possible in the
north Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 30 September
Isolated areas of morning frost over the Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern
districts. Showers developing southwest of Perth to Albany during the morning,
extending through areas southwest of a line Geraldton to Hopetoun in the
afternoon then extending along remaining coastal parts in the evening. Areas of
rain extending through the Pilbara and into the North Interior and southwest
Kimberley during the day. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible over the
north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Kalgoorlie. Thunderstorms and damaging
winds possible over the Southwest and South Coastal districts and adjacent
parts. Small hail developing over the southern half of the South West Land
Division during the afternoon and evening. Rain areas over the Pilbara,
southern Kimberley and northern Interior, easing from the southwest during the
day. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 2 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the far southern
Goldfields and near the Eucla coast, with thunderstorms and small hail possible
near the south coast in the morning. Showers possible along the west coast
south of Jurien Bay. Rain areas over the southern Kimberley and northern
Interior, easing during the day. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the
remainder of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 3 October
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Hopetoun and along the remainder
of the south coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern half of the
Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
