Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough over the western Pilbara will move eastwards over the weekend. A high
pressure system develops from the west during Sunday and extends over central
parts of the state on Monday and Tuesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front moves through southern parts on Saturday, then a high
pressure ridge will gradually develop over central parts of the State on Sunday
and remains throughout the early part of next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 30 September
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Hyden to Israelite Bay. Areas of
rain extending through the central and eastern Pilbara extends the far North
Interior and southwest Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and
east Kimberley easing in the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Kalgoorlie to Eyre. Thunderstorms and
damaging winds possible over the Southwest during the morning and extending
along the Great southern, South Coastal and Southeast Coastal districts during
the day. Small hail is possible over the southern half of the South West Land
Division during the afternoon and evening. Rain areas over the eastern Pilbara
and extends into the southern Kimberley and northern Interior, easing from the
southwest during the day. Showers and thunderstorms over the northeastern
Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 2 October
Showers over southern parts of the Southwest Land Division, with thunderstorms
and small hail possible near the south coast east of Esperance contracting to
east of Eyre later int he day. Light showers also possible along the west coast
and adjacent inland parts south of Jurien Bay during the morning. Rain areas
over the southern Kimberley and northern Interior, easing during the day.
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the remainder of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 3 October
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Hopetoun and along the remainder
of the south coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern half of the
Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 October
Showers possible over the Lower West, Southwest and South Coastal districts.
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern half of the Kimberley during the
afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
