Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge is developing over the south of the State. A
trough develops over the western Pilbara on Thursday and Friday, before moving
eastwards over the weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low is moving into the eastern Bight, with a high pressure system moving
in from the west. A weak front moves over southwestern parts on Friday, with a
trough rapidly deepen through central parts of the State before moving
eastwards. A stronger cold front moves through southern parts on Saturday. A
high pressure ridge will develop over central parts of the State on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 28 September
Showers along the south coast east of Esperance and near the Eucla
coast.Damaging winds and small hail possible near the Eucla coast early this
evening. Thunderstorms possible near the south coast east of Bremer Bay,
clearing during the afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 29 September
Widespread areas of morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land
Division, the Goldfields and the southeast Gascoyne. Showers about the
southwest Capes in the afternoon and evening. Possible morning showers near the
Eucla coast. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible in the north
Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 30 September
Isolated areas of morning frost over the Central Wheat Belt, inland Central
West and Great Southern districts. Showers extending from the southwest in the
morning to lie southwest of a line Geraldton to Southern Cross to Hopetoun by
evening. Areas of rain extending through the Pilbara and into the North
Interior and southwest Kimberley during the day. Afternoon showers and
thunderstorms possible over the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Kalgoorlie, extending to southwest of
Carnarvon to Eucla during the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms and small
hail possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division with gusty
winds. Rain areas over the eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and northern
Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 2 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and near the Eucla
coast. with thunderstorms and hail possible near the south coast in the
morning. Showers possible along the west coast south of Perth. Morning showers
possible over the Central Wheat Belt and southern Goldfields. Rain areas over
the southern Kimberley and northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms
possible over the remainder of the Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
