Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building over central parts of the State with a
trough developing in the west Pilbara. The trough will extend southwards into
the western Gascoyne on Sunday, before contracting eastwards through the
Pilbara and into the western Interior on Monday. The trough will move into the
Interior and southern Kimberley on Tuesday as a new ridge of high pressure
developing over central parts of the state.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will rapidly deepen inland from the west coast on Sunday, then move
east ahead of a cold front that will cross the southwest of the State on
Monday. A new ridge will develop near the south coast on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 8 September
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, contracting to mainly
coastal parts between Perth and Albany this evening.

Forecast for Sunday 9 September
Showers about the Southwest District and adjacent parts. Afternoon showers with
the chance of a thunderstorm in the Gascoyne, inland Central West and Central
Wheat Belt, extending into the the eastern Great Southern, western Goldfields
and South East Coastal district in the evening.

Forecast for Monday 10 September
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay. Showers with the
chance of a thunderstorm in the southwest Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, Goldfields and western Eucla, contracting eastwards during
the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 September
Showers about western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
clearing western parts during the morning. Showers with the chance of a
thunderstorm about the Eucla and southern Interior, clearing in the afternoon.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Albany.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
