Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts will
move slowly inland and eastwards during Thursday and Friday before redeveloping
near the coast again on Saturday and Sunday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extends across the south of the state. A weak cold
front will approach the far southwest on Thursday morning before moving
eastwards across the south coast during Thursday and Friday. A new ridge of
high pressure will develop across southern WA in its wake. A weak low pressure
trough will begin to develop along the west coast during Saturday, before
moving eastwards on Sunday as a weak cold front brushes the southwest of the
state. A ridge of high pressure develops rapidly in the wake of the front on
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 12 September
Showers near the west coast south of Perth and near the south coast west of
Albany. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Thursday 13 September
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany, extending to southwest of a
line Geraldton to Israelite Bay during the day. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Friday 14 September
Showers about west coastal districts of the South West Land Division, clearing
early morning. Showers about southern coastal districts of the South West Land
Division and the Eucla, contracting to coastal parts during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 15 September
Mostly sunny conditions throughout the state.

Forecast for Sunday 16 September
Showers about the Southwest district increasing in the afternoon and extending
north and east to lie southwest of a line Geraldton to Israelite Bay in the
afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
