Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts will
move slowly inland and east during today and Friday before redeveloping near
the coast again on Saturday and Sunday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will move over the southwest of the state today, contracting
into the Bight on Friday. A new ridge of high pressure will develop across
southern WA in its wake. A weak low pressure trough will begin to develop along
the west coast during Saturday, before moving east on Sunday as a weak cold
front brushes the southwest of the state. A ridge of high pressure develops
rapidly in the wake of the front on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 September
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Israelite Bay. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Friday 14 September
Showers about west coastal districts of the South West Land Division and
northeastern inland parts, clearing early morning. Showers about southern
coastal districts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla, contracting to
coastal parts during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 15 September
Mostly sunny conditions throughout the state.

Forecast for Sunday 16 September
Showers about the Southwest district increasing in the afternoon and extending
north and east to lie southwest of a line Mandurah to Israelite Bay in the
afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 17 September
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division extending
to adjacent inland parts for a period during the day. Afternoon showers and
thunderstorms about the southern Interior, adjacent Goldfields and northern
Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
