Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building over central parts of the State with a
trough near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. The trough will extend into the
western Pilbara over the weekend before contracting eastwards through the
Pilbara on Monday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is moving through central parts of the South West Land
Division with another weak front brushing the south coast. A ridge will develop
over the south of the State during Saturday. A trough will rapidly deepen
inland from the west coast on Sunday, then move eastwards ahead of a cold front
that will cross the southwest of the State on Monday. A new ridge will develop
near the south coast on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 7 September
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Hyden to Hopetoun, contracting to
coastal parts during the evening.
Forecast for Saturday 8 September
Showers in coastal areas between Perth and Israelite Bay, extending inland to
west of a line Jurien Bay to Lake Grace to Bremer Bay for a period during the
day.
Forecast for Sunday 9 September
Showers about the Southwest District.
Forecast for Monday 10 September
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Hopetoun, extending along the
coast to Israelite Bay during the afternoon. A chance of an evening
thunderstorm in the eastern Eucla and the adjacent Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 11 September
Showers along coastal parts between Denham and Eucla contracting to the south
coast during the morning. A chance of a morning thunderstorm in the eastern
Eucla and the adjacent Interior.
