Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough over the Pilbara will move eastwards into the Kimberley
and North Interior during Monday and Tuesday. A ridge of high pressure will
build over southern parts of the State on Wednesday with another trough
developing near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts on Thursday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough inland from the west coast will move east during Monday. A cold front
will reach the SW Capes during Monday evening and moves through the South West
Land Division during Tuesday morning. Another front moves through the South
West Land Division from Tuesday afternoon through to Wednesday morning. A high
pressure ridge will then develop over the south of the State during Wednesday
with another weak front brushing the far southwest Thursday evening.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 September
Showers near the south coast and along the Eucla coast, clearing by the
evening. Showers near the SW Capes.
Forecast for Monday 3 September
Showers developing along the west coast south of Mandurah during the morning,
extending through areas southwest of a line from Lancelin to Albany during the
afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 September
Showers extending through most the South West Land Division and to the adjacent
southwest Gascoyne and Goldfields during the morning and early afternoon.
Showers contracting to areas southwest of a line Kalbarri to Israelite Bay by
evening. A chance of a squally thunderstorm along the south coast west of
Albany during the evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 September
Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Israelite Bay, mostly light inland,
contracting to coastal parts during the afternoon. A chance of a squally
thunderstorm near the south coast during the morning with small hail possible
over southern parts.
Forecast for Thursday 6 September
Showers along the southern and the eastern Eucla coasts extending to areas
southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay for a period during the day.
