Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central and southern parts of the State.
A weak surface trough develops over the Pilbara and western Kimberley today and
on Sunday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the State. A trough will
develop near the west coast on Sunday and move east during the day and on
Monday. A cold front will reach the SW Capes during Monday evening. The cold
front will move through the South West Land Division during Tuesday, and then
another cold front will reach the South West District Tuesday evening. A high
pressure ridge will then develop over the State during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and near the Eucla
coast. Light showers possible over remaining areas south of Jurien Bay to
Southern Cross to Forrest, clearing in the evening.
Forecast for Sunday 2 September
Showers near the south coast east of Esperance and along the Eucla coast,
clearing by the evening. Showers near the SW Capes.
Forecast for Monday 3 September
Showers developing along the west coast south of Perth during the morning,
extending through areas southwest of a line from Perth to Albany during the
evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 September
Showers extending through most the South West Land Division and to the adjacent
southwest Gascoyne and Goldfields during the late morning and afternoon.
Showers contracting to areas southwest of a line Kalbarri to Katanning to
Israelite Bay by evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 September
Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Geraldton to Esperance, mostly light
inland and in the early morning. Showers contracting to coastal parts by mid
morning with the risk of a thunderstorm near the south coast.
