Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Tuesday 29 May 2018.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A cloud band across the Pilbara and Interior of the State will gradually
contract east and break up during Saturday. A ridge of high pressure will
develop over central parts of the State over the weekend, slipping southwards
during next week.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low pressure system to the southwest of the state will move eastwards
off the south coast overnight and during Saturday, gradually weakening as it
does so. A cold front will bring further rainfall to southern and southwestern
parts during Sunday before a ridge of high pressure forms near the south coast
on Monday and begins to clear the weather over the State.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 25 May
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the west Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne and the Interior.
Windy with showers across the South West Land Division and thunderstorms
possible in the south.

Forecast for Saturday 26 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, mostly near the south coast and
along the west coast south of Jurien Bay. Gusty westerly winds and showers will
ease during the day. Showers also possible over the southwest Gascoyne and
southwest Goldfields as well as the Pilbara and through the central Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 27 May
Showers over western and southwestern parts of the South West Land Division,
extending throughout by evening. Moderate falls in the south and southwest,
with possible thunderstorms near the south coast.

Forecast for Monday 28 May
Showers near the west coast south of Denham and along the south coast. The
chance of light showers also over remaining southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 29 May
Showers confined to the area west of a line from Bunbury to Walpole.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
