Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough of low pressure will lie near the Pilbara and west Kimberley coasts
for the next couple of days. An easterly flow is expected on Monday, with a
trough developing over the western Pilbara on Tuesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front over the southwest of the state will weaken as it moves eastwards
this evening, with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake. A high
pressure system will develop south of the state on Saturday, before moving into
the Bight on Sunday. A strengthening northerly flow will develop over western
districts on Monday ahead of a strong, squally cold front expected over western
districts Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 31 May
Showers through most parts of the South West Land Division, contracting coastal
parts this evening. Possible thunderstorms in northern and central parts of the
South West Land Division clearing this evening. Showers and thunderstorms in
the northern and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwest Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 1 June
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms through the Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Morning showers along the west coast south of Denham.
Showers along the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 2 June
Showers and the chance of a morning thunderstorm over the southeast Goldfields
and Eucla. Isolated showers about the South West Capes and northeast of the
Southeast coastal district, but only light falls expected.

Forecast for Sunday 3 June
Showers about the Eucla and southern Goldfields for a period during the day.
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the southern Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 4 June
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the west Pilbara, Gascoyne and
northern parts of the South West Land Division, extending into the western
Goldfields and most of the South West Land Division during the day.
Strengthening northerly winds about western coastal districts. Morning showers
about the coastal Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
