Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A near stationary surface trough extends from the northwest Kimberley through
the Pilbara.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge of high pressure will develop south of the state during Tuesday as
a cold front moves into the Bight. A high pressure system will reside in the
Bight by Thursday with a trough developing near the west coast on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 1 April
Showers in the South West Land Division contracting to the south coast during
the morning. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, and Eucla.
Showers and thunderstorms developing in the southwest Pilbara, Central West and
southern Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley and central and eastern parts of the
state. Some light showers near the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley and Interior. Showers in the Eucla.
Forecast for Friday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, Gascoyne
and northern Goldfields. Morning showers in the Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
