Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A near stationary surface trough extends from the northwest Kimberley to the
western Pilbara.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies near the west coast. The trough will move inland on Saturday as a
cold front moves over southwestern parts of the state.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms near the west Kimberley coast, the Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and the northeast of the South West Land Division. Showers southwest
of a line Busselton to Esperance, clearing the western parts during the
afternoon.
Forecast for Friday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms near the northwest Kimberley coast and in the
Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Light showers along the south coast
west of Israelite Bay, clearing by the afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday 29 March
Showers southwest of a line Bunbury to Albany in the morning extending
northeast during the day to reach Geraldton to Esperance in the evening.
Showers and thunderstorms near the west Kimberley coast and in the eastern
Pilbara. An area of showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast Coastal district
and the Goldfields moving eastwards during the day.
Forecast for Sunday 30 March
Showers in the northern South West Land Division clearing early in the morning.
Showers near the south coast mostly clearing during the day. Showers and
thunderstorms across central and southeastern WA and in the Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
