Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Pilbara coast and Kimberley coast.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low is moving east through the southern Bight. A weak ridge of high pressure
is developing over southern parts in its wake. A cold front is expected to move
through the South West Land Division during Friday, with a westerly flow
persisting over southern coastal parts on Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 16 May
Showers over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division
and the Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 May
Showers over the southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, southern Interior and the Eucla, contracting to coastal parts east
of Bremer Bay in the afternoon.
Forecast for Thursday 18 May
Light showers over the Eucla and southern Interior. Showers developing over the
South West district during the afternoon and extending to southwest of a line
Mandurah to Hopetoun in the evening.
Forecast for Friday 19 May
Showers extending over the South West Land Division from the west during the
day, with thunderstorms possible in southern parts. Coastal showers about the
Eucla clearing during the afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday 20 May
Showers over coastal parts of the South West Land Division, extending to inland
parts for a period during the day. Morning showers about the western Eucla and
southern Goldfields. Evening showers and thunderstorms about the southern
Interior and eastern Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
