Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies across southern parts of the State, resulting in
a mainly easterly flow in the north.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is moving eastwards into the Bight with a ridge of high
pressure developing in its wake. The high pressure system will continue to
develop over southern parts of the state over the weekend with a high pressure
centre moving into the Bight early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 26 May
Showers southwest of a line from Dongara to Israelite Bay, contracting to near
southern coastal parts this evening. Mostly light falls inland. Thunderstorms
possible over the southeast Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields, central and
southern Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 27 May
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and the far
southern Goldfields. Thunderstorms possible over the northeastern Gascoyne,
southeast Pilbara, central and southern Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 28 May
Showers over southern coastal districts. Thunderstorms possible over the
Interior, northeastern Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 29 May
Showers near the south coast. Thunderstorms possible over the Interior,
clearing during the morning. Areas of morning frost over southern inland parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 May
Showers near the south coast east of Esperance, clearing during the day.
Showers developing in the evening about the southwest Capes. Afternoon
thunderstorms possible about the southern Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
