Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Over the next few days a trough will lie near the Kimberley coast and the
Pilbara coast, pushing offshore during the mornings. A tropical low is expected
to approach the upper west coast late on Sunday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will move across southern parts of the state during the day.
A new ridge of high pressure will develop over southern parts of the state
Friday and Saturday, and then move south of the state on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 1 May
Showers in the southern half of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields and southern Eucla, contracting to southeast coastal parts during
the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley,
Pilbara, and northern Interior with some shower activity through the northern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 2 May
Showers near the south coast extending to the inland Eucla for a period during
the day. Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley and clearing
the northern Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 3 May
Showers near the south coast extending further inland for a period during the
day. Showers and thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley. Showers developing in
the far western Pilbara and western Gascoyne late in the day.

Forecast for Sunday 4 May
Rain in the northwest of the state extending southwards and eastwards during
the day to cover much of the western half of the state by Sunday night.
Thunderstorms and possible heavy falls in the western Pilbara and western
Gascoyne. Morning showers near the Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms in
the northwest Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
