Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Wednesday 29 May 2013.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight, with a trough developing near the west
coast. Expect a moderate to fresh easterly flow over northern districts for the
next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight is slowly moving eastwards, and a trough is
developing near the west coast. A middle level disturbance will affect western
parts of the state on Monday, as a cold front approaches the southwest corner.
On Tuesday the cold front will move into the Bight and weaken, while a ridge of
high pressure will develop near the SW corner in its wake. Another cold front
will reach the southwest corner late Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 26 May
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the southwest Pilbara, and the far
northwest Gascoyne. Isolated showers extending through the remainder of the
Gascoyne, the southern Pilbara, northern Goldfields, northern Central West, and
the far western Interior. Isolated showers possible over the Southeast Coastal
district , southern Goldfields, as well as west coastal parts of the SW Land
Division.

Forecast for Monday 27 May
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the western of the Pilbara and adjacent
Gascoyne. Isolated showers over the remaining Gascoyne, far western Interior,
western Goldfields, western and northern parts of the SW Land Division,
extending into central parts during the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms
possible near the SW corner during the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 May
Showers over the southwest half of the state. Thunderstorms possible about the
lower SW and South Coastal district. Isolated thunderstorms in the western
Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 May
Isolated showers about the western Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne. Isolated
showers in the southern Interior and Eucla, clearing eastwards during the day.
Isolated showers developing about the Lower West and SW districts during the
day , and increasing towards evening, with possible thunderstorms.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
