Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will continue to develop through central and southern
parts of the State on Friday with southeasterly winds developing through the
Pilbara, before a weak surface trough develops over the Pilbara and western
Kimberley on Saturday and Sunday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building over central parts of the State. The ridge
will drift southwards on Friday before a weak front brushes the south coast on
Saturday. A high will form in the Bight by Saturday evening with a trough
developing near the west coast on Sunday. The trough will move eastwards during
Monday ahead of an approaching cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 30 August
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields, the Eucla and near the Central West coast. Thunderstorms possible
over far southeastern parts of the State until evening.

Forecast for Friday 31 August
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts. Light showers possible over
remaining areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Katanning to Israelite
Bay, most likely during the middle of the day.

Forecast for Saturday 1 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and near the Eucla
coast. Light showers possible over remaining areas south of Jurien Bay to
Southern Cross to Forrest, clearing in the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 2 September
Showers near the south coast east of Esperance and along the Eucla coast. Light
showers possible over areas south of a line from Perth to Southern Cross to
Forrest, most likely during the middle of the day.

Forecast for Monday 3 September
Showers developing along the west coast south of Perth during the morning,
extending through areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany during
the afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
