Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough over the Pilbara and Kimberley is moving slowly east
through to the end of Tuesday. A cold front will move through the west Pilbara
from late Tuesday through to Wednesday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will
build through the Pilbara and North Interior during Thursday and drift south on
Friday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front is moving over the South West Land Division during Tuesday.
An associated low pressure system will move through far southern parts of the
State during Wednesday, with a pool of cold, unstable air to move over much of
the southern half of the State. On Thursday a ridge of high pressure will build
over central parts of the State and drift southwards on Friday. A weak front
will brush the south coast on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 28 August
Gusty showers extending to southwest of a line Coral Bay to Israelite Bay
during the day. The chance of squally thunderstorms about the South West Land
Division and SW Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 August
Gusty showers extending to southwest of a line Karratha to Laverton to Forrest
during the day. The chance of squally thunderstorms through most of the South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and the Eucla. Very windy through the
southern and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and the Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 30 August
Showers through the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla and the South Interior, contracting to coastal and adjacent
parts during the afternoon and evening. Showers possible in central coastal
parts of the Kimberley, clearing in the afternoon. Windy through the Eucla and
southern Interior.

Forecast for Friday 31 August
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern
Eucla. Coastal showers over the Central West district clearing during the
morning.

Forecast for Saturday 1 September
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, reaching to remaining southern
parts of the South West Land Division for a period during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
