Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough over the Pilbara and Kimberley will move slowly east
through to the end of Tuesday. A cold front will move through the west Pilbara
late Tuesday and on Wednesday morning.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is moving over the south west corner of the State, before a
more significant cold front moves over the South West Land Division during
Tuesday. An associated low pressure system will move south of the State during
Tuesday and Wednesday, with a pool of cold, unstable air to move over much of
the southern half of the State. On Thursday and Friday a ridge of high pressure
will build over central parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 27 August
Showers developing over areas southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany
during the morning, extending through areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay
to Bremer Bay during the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms over the
Southeast District and adjacent Goldfields in the afternoon.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 August
Gusty showers extending to southwest of a line Coral Bay to Israelite Bay
during the day. The chance of squally thunderstorms about the South West Land
Division and SW Goldfields. Windy through the southern Gascoyne, inland Central
West and Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 August
Gusty showers extending to southwest of a line Karratha to Laverton to Forrest
during the day. The chance of squally thunderstorms through most of the South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and western Eucla. Very windy through
the southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 30 August
Showers along the west coast, contracting to coastal parts of the Central West
during the afternoon. Showers through southern and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, Goldfields, South Interior, and Eucla, contracting to the
south coast in the afternoon. Showers possible in the coastal parts of the
Kimberley, clearing in the afternoon.

Forecast for Friday 31 August
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, briefly reaching adjacent inland
parts in the west for a period in the afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
