Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough across the Kimberley and Pilbara will persist for the next few days.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast. A cold front will move
over the southwest of the State later on Friday, with a weak high pressure
system developing in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 31 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Southeast Kimberley, Interior and
northeast Goldfields. Showers near southwest Capes.
Forecast for Wednesday 1 June
Shower and thunderstorm activity increasing through the Interior, northern
Goldfields and Eucla. Showers over eastern parts of the South East Coastal
district.
Forecast for Thursday 2 June
Showers and thunderstorm activity over the eastern Interior. Mostly light
showers over the Eucla and eastern parts of the South East Coastal district.
Forecast for Friday 3 June
Showers near the southwest Capes, extending to areas southwest of a line from
Kalbarri to Ravensthorpe during the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms
possible south of Perth in the afternoon and evening.
Areas of rain developing about the western Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne during
the afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday 4 June
Showers throughout the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields,
contracting to coastal parts in the afternoon and becoming confined to the
south coast by evening. Showers extending from the west about the Eucla coast
in the afternoon.
Areas of rain through the southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and
extending through the southern Interior in the afternoon.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
