Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Generally a moderate easterly flow over Northern parts becoming fresh and gusty
over the weekend with a ridge strengthening over the southern parts of the
State.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is moving slowly over southern parts, and will clear the southeast
parts of the State late Thursday. A high pressure system moves over western
parts in the wake of the cold front on Thursday and Friday, before becoming
established in the Bight on Saturday. During Sunday a cold front will approach
the southwest corner of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 June
Showers and areas of rain southwest of a line Kalbarri to Eyre, clearing inland
parts of the South West, Lower West, and Great Southern in the evening.
Forecast for Thursday 28 June
. Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts. Showers over northern and eastern
parts of the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, the Goldfields, far
southern Interior and remaining Eucla, contracting east during the day.
Forecast for Friday 29 June
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts. Light showers extending through the
remaining Eucla and into the southern Great Southern, southeast Goldfields and
southern Interior for a period during the day.
Forecast for Saturday 30 June
Showers possible about the South West district.
Forecast for Sunday 1 July
Showers developing in the South West district and extending to the adjacent
Lower West and South Coastal districts during the evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
