Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Kimberley coast and Pilbara coast.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure is developing over southern parts of the State. A
trough will deepen near the west coast later Wednesday before moving east later
on Thursday as a weak cold front approaches from the southwest. A new ridge
will develop south of the State during Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 24 April
Showers over southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Showers
and thunderstorms over the far northeast Goldfields, the eastern Eucla,
northeast Gascoyne and South Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 April
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, clearing by early afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, northeast Gascoyne and southeast
Pilbara.
Forecast for Thursday 26 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the central Interior, northeast Gascoyne,
southern Pilbara and northern Goldfields.
Forecast for Friday 27 April
Showers over the Southwest district, far southwestern Great Southern, the South
Coastal district and coastal Lower West district, with light falls anticipated.
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division,
eastern Gascoyne and Goldfields, extending to the western Interior and Eucla in
the evening.
Forecast for Saturday 28 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern South East Coastal district, the
Goldfields, Interior and Eucla, mostly morning and early afternoon.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
