Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the Kimberley coast down into the central parts of
the State, slowly contracting eastwards. The trough redevelops near the
Kimberley and Pilbara coasts from Wednesday, moving offshore for periods in the
mornings Thursday and Friday. Strong easterly winds expected along the Pilbara
coast on Friday morning as the trough moves offshore.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough off lies through central parts of the State, slowly moving
eastwards as a weak cold front moves through southwestern parts in the evening.
A ridge develops over the central parts of the State with a second weak front
moving over southern parts later Tuesday. On Wednesday a stronger front will
move over far southern parts of the State, before a new ridge develops over
southern prats from Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley and central Pilbara coasts in
the afternoon and evening. Showers southwest of a line from Bunbury to Denmark,
extending to southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Katanning to Bremer Bay in the
evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 May
Mostly morning showers near the west coast, returning south of Jurien Bay late
evening. Showers over southern coastal Districts and adjacent parts of the
Great Southern and far southern Goldfields, extending to the western Eucla in
the late evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 May
Showers over the western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting the coastal parts south of Shark Bay and extending east along the
southern coastal parts into the Eucla in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms
over the Southern Interior, Eucla and eastern Goldfields, clearing over western
parts in the afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 3 May
Showers over the Southwest District and along the south coast west of Israelite
Bay. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the eastern Interior, clearing
from the west in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 4 May
Showers southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
