Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the central Kimberley, offshore from the east
Pilbara and back inland through the central Pilbara and into the Gascoyne. A
weak ridge extends from the southeast of the State into the southeast of the
Pilbara.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high lies over Bight with a trough that will deepen near the west coast. The
trough will move east later on Thursday as a weak cold front approaches from
the southwest on Friday. A new ridge will develop south of the State during
Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 April
Possible light shower near the Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Interior, northeast Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 26 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the central Interior, northeast Gascoyne,
southern Pilbara and northern Goldfields. Possible light morning showers about
the east Eucla coast. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms over coastal parts of
the northwestern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 27 April
Light morning showers about the Central West coast. Showers over the Southwest
district, far southwestern Great Southern, the South Coastal district and
coastal Lower West district, with light falls anticipated. Showers and
thunderstorms over the Goldfields and Southeast Coastal districts, extending to
the southern Interior and Eucla in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 28 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, Interior and Eucla,
mostly morning and early afternoon. Showers and drizzle over the Southeast
Coastal district and adjacent southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 29 April
Showers and thunderstorms through the Interior, extending into western parts of
the Kimberley and eastern parts of the Pilbara in the afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
