Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley. A small tropical low lies
over open waters to the north of the State.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A tropical low will move south through the Goldfields on Saturday and will
slowly weaken. Heavy rainfall is possible over the Goldfields and Eucla on
Saturday. A cold front will move across southwestern parts of the State on
Sunday. A ridge of high pressure will develop near the south coast during
Monday. A weak cold front will brush the south coast during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 24 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Interior and Eucla. Areas of rain, with heavy falls possible over
the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and adjacent Interior. Showers over southern
coastal parts.
Forecast for Saturday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
northeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division and over the Eucla. Moderate to heavy falls through the
southeast Goldfields and Eucla, easing later in the day. Morning showers over
southern coastal parts.
Forecast for Sunday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Interior and Eucla. Showers over all but far northern parts of the
South West Land Division, contracting to the south coast during the afternoon.
Forecast for Monday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and northern Interior.
Morning showers about the south coast west of Israelite Bay, and redeveloping
about coastal parts between Augusta and Bremer Bay during the evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 March
Showers near the western south coast, extending to coastal parts of the Lower
West and to areas south of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay during the afternoon
and evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern
Interior, and northern Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
