Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A small tropical low lies well to the west of Broome and is expected to weaken
overnight as it moves further west. A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and
Kimberley.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing along the south coast. A weak cold front will brush the
south coast during Tuesday. The ridge strengthens in the wake of the front with
a high pressure system moving into the Bight on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
the Interior. Showers along the south coast west of Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Monday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northern Gascoyne
and northern Interior. Showers about the south coast, clearing the Eucla coast
during the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 March
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Israelite Bay. Showers and
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and northern
Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 29 March
Showers near the south coast east of Albany. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and northern Gascoyne.
Forecast for Thursday 30 March
Showers near the south coast east of Israelite Bay. Showers and thunderstorms
over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest Interior and the Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
